If you are a returning customer you will have notices a lot of changes, we now have hundreds more products on line with new ranges of products. We will be adding even more products to the website over the next few weeks.

Since La Cookshop was established in the heart of Durham City in 1994, great value, variety and quality have always been our ethos. We aim to provide the serious and the not so serious cook with the equipment that they need to succeed.

La Cookshop is an independent Cookshop that can specialise and seek out the unusual items that you may be having difficulty finding. If you have a request for a particular item that you cannot find then please send an email to sales@lacookshop.co.uk and we will endeavour to seek out that illusive product.

The website represents only a fraction of what our high street store sells. Notable additions this spring are Sophie Allport Textiles and the new range of Jackie Llewelyn Bowen (Laurence’s Wife) which will arrive in store and online in April.

We stock an amazing range of Teapots from many suppliers, from small to large and patterned and coloured stainless steel and ceramic.

Our recession busting prices on kitchen trolleys are very competitive and we will be surprised if you find them cheaper. Our range of Meyer cookware is as extensive as any you will find on line and very competitively priced. Feel free to compare but we are sure that we offer great value. We also stock one of the largest selections of Bridgewater pottery in the north east of England this can now be found on line with a 10% discount across all ranges that we carry the on line range has more than doubles from our old website.

We carry a large range of AGA branded products all at a discount to the AGA recommended price.

All of our staff receive product training and use many of the products that we sell. Only by using items can any one sell with confidence the products in store.

We aim to offer service and value all year round and would welcome you on your next visit to the City of Durham, whether you are a visitor to one of our many festivals that are held throughout the year or a resident of the City.
